Headliner fabric in Savile grey.
Discussion
Hi,
I have been trying to find a supplier of headliner fabric for my 1992 Sovereign for some time now, but unfortunately have not been able to find a good (or even anywhere near) colour match. I'm looking for Savile grey fabric with a 3mm foam backing, which is what was used originally.
Unfortunately, though I have seen samples which are made of similar fabric, none has been a close colour match. So far I have tried GB Classic parts, Woolies, Myrtle, Martrim and J Skinner.
Do any of you know a good source? Help!!

Whoops! I'm a bit slow replying!
I had forgotten about Aldridge trimming. I emailed them and asked for a sample this afternoon. They replied within a few minutes which impressed me - so finger crossed, with luck it's the right colour. I'm surprised I have found the right colour so difficult to get.
Thanks for your help.

Cheers. I'm starting to really like XJ40's, very nice colour on yours.
I had to do the headlining on my XJ (hence Aldridge trimming) but I think it's very different on later cars so my experience won't be much use. Ed China did the headlining on an XJS in an episode of Wheeler Dealers, might be worth watching to give you some hints? It's not terribly in depth but any little helps...
