e type advice

hi iam new to pistonheads

iam also not sure if this is the place to post this but i just wanted to ask for some advice

i have a 5.3 litre manual e type in Azure Blue 2+2 Coupe its got very low milage but dose need some work doing on it the mot has just run out and its bin sat in the garage since the summer i dont think iam going to be able to get the money together to do any work on it this year so iam thinking of selling it

now for the advice i need i just wanted to ask where would be the best place to put it up for sale as i do want a fair price for it but also know it will need some work doing to it an i want it to go to somone that is going to look after it and do the work as its a very good car and want to make sure it still gets some more years use

Jaguar enthusiasts club? Might have to wait longer for a sale but more likely to be an enthusiast? Having said that I assume you car is worth well over £15k so anyone would have to really want one to buy yours in the first place.

Last time I sold a classic from PH classifieds I only got calls from traders, fine for me but not what the OP wants.

Not sure what area of the country you are James , but you could give Martin Lane a call ,

He would be able to give you an idea of how much your E-Type is worth and possibly sell it on your behalf ,

I had a V12 E which I sold. my recommendation would be Pistonheads, and Auto Trader, maybe the Sunday Times though less so these days, but you must describe it well - a quality advert is needed for a quality car, and check the grammar so you don't sound like Kenny Noye.
