S Type windows..Advice

Having purchased a 2000 3.0 S Type im in the midsts of sorting out the niggles.
First job is the rear windows...They dont work!
The motors on both windows appear to be working but the windows do not go down?
Cheap fix? Or is this one of those nasty expensive jobs?

Silly question - IIRC there's a switch on the driver's door - if so is it enabled? The rear windows have a child-proof setting.

Yeah, i can hear the motor trying to operate the window but nothing happens, just a noise of maybe a slipping cog?

It's probably the regulator, these are a common problem on the S type, check ebay, there always seems to be a few on there.
