XK8 vs. XKR running costs?

I quite fancy an XK this year, and i know the XKR is the one to go for, but are there any reliability and running cost differences between the XK8 and XKR? I have just got myself back into a stable financial position after getting my first house, and will be looking at late 90's cars. I can afford an XK8 within my budget, but will it be worth stretching myself that bit more for the XKR (insurance is about £250 more as well). How much does servicing cost through a good independant?

I normally service my own cars but i guess it will be a pain on a car like this, would it even be financially beneficial?

In the big scheme of things, what the XKR offers over the XK, the marginally higher costs (fuel, servicing, consumables) is worth it. So don't give it another thought & buy the XKR. :-)
