X-Type diesel oil thermostat

Anyone out there know their way round the 2.0L diesel engine room? From other information received I believe I need to change the oil thermostat - but where is it? And how many spanners/pairs of knuckles are needed to change it?
I would also be keen to know where the water thermostat is hiding as well - just in case! The car is a late 2005 2.0L SE diesel saloon, if I get this sorted I may do a short write up as the blogs seem a bit lacking on these details, and cooling issues seem to be somewhat common on some of these cars. Answers on a postcard..........
