Does anyone have any real life data on the MPG of the new XF with the 2.2d engine, and if so what type of driving are you doing. I spend most of my life travelling around the M25 and motorways in the SE.

I fancy a change from my Merc and really like the new Jag but doing 25K miles pa and only getting the usual 45p/25p mileage allowance doesn't go far when you are paying £1.50 a litre.

I've read some private reviews on the 3.0d where the JLR published ecconomy figures have been questioned, but have not seen any for the new 2.2 engine.

I know nothing of the mpg, but are you aware the goverments car payments are 50p for first 10k and not 45p? It has been like this since last April.

I'm getting 36mpg out my 2.2 Premium Lux in 90% urban use.

High 40's on a run but mine's only done 1600 miles.

As Colmans has pointed out it is currently 45p/25p. Before April 2011 it was 40p for the first 10K miles.
