I should try and find out which club is most active in your area.
I originally joined both the JEC & JDC, but in the Thames Valley area, the JDC doesn't seem to do much, apart from the magazine I heard from the JDC once in the time I was a member, and that was to invite me to a show that the JEC had invited me to too a couple of months earlier.
I'm sure in other areas you'd find the reverse case. I've never been able to attend, but I think out JEC region do a couple of events a year with one of the JDC regions down in Hampshire.

J E C all the way. I was a member of the JDC and found them to be particularly stand offish when I went to a couple of their meets... The JEC on the other hand you have the feeling that if you needed help pulling out your engine at a meet, someone would be there to help and give good advice. I do though however love the JDC e-type track days.....
