Bedfordshire Jaguar Independants

Can anybody recommend me a good Jaguar independant for my 1995 XJR in Beds / Herts (with Jaguar software)

I am getting annoyed chasing faults and getting nowhere and rather than get fed up and sell the car I might aswell pay someone to look at it

I've used Chiltern of Bovingdon a few times, and they seem pretty good.

If the X300 is OBD compliant, I've got a fault code reader I'd be happy to plug in for you if it helps?

I have had it on a fault code reader and there are no codes, the sensors just need setting up with the Jaguar software to bring the tickover back down to normal and it needs a couple of other non electrical bits done.

I called Jaguar in Luton, and for an hour on their computer setting it up they wanted £300 which i refuse to pay. Looking online it should only be around the £80 mark for the sensor setup :/

Took the car to Chiltern yesterday for the sensor setup and now she is ticking over perfectly! Great service and the best £40 i have spent on the car.

Another vote for Chiltern, not bargain basement, but much cheaper & more knowledgable than the main agents !

Bit late now I guess - but try Kings Road Garage in Berkhamsted, they've got full Jag diagnostics and Ben who runs service is a great guy - couldn't be more helpful
