XF 2.7D remap?
Discussion
Hi their was an artcale with a re-mapped s-type in a while ago in the Jaguar owners magazine.
I personally would not do this, I have heard of many horror stories involving re-mapped cars and if it was that good why havent the car manufature's done it in the first place? Afterall they spend millions on ECM sowtwere development.
Their is far to much to go wrong on those TDV6 engine's.

Hi,
I'm a vehicle tuner based in Manchester and one of my specialties is Jaguar. I've tuned many Jag XF, XJ, S-Type with the Siemens SID 20X ECU you have in your car and we've always had great results.
The reason Jaguar can't produce every car to run as perfectly as possible is that they have to make your Jaguar XF to fit every market. For example in Australia it's common to find 85 octane fuel, equally you'll fine 110 octane in Japan. Your car will be used by buyers in the red hot heat of the Sahara through to the icy colds of Siberia and everywhere in between. Your XF is also designed to meet stringent California emission laws and also be tuned to ensure a varying number of different things that means having to restrict how well your car will perform for power and economy. We've tuned thousands of cars and common feedback we get is that fuel economy rises after a remap by anywhere between 10 and 20%, furthermore we can prove using our dyno that the bhp and torque increases by a healthy and safe amount and we can 'iron out' any lumps or flat spots that'll massively improve the drivability of your car.
Obviously I'm too far away from you but I can certainly recommend you people more locally to yourself. Be careful to find some one who will write you a bespoke tune for your specific vehicle and not someone who just uploads an generic map. There's a huge difference between the professionals and the cowboys in this business and I've been out to too many vehicles that have been poorly tuned and it's a big job, sometimes impossible to reverse it. When you find someone good though, and your cars been professionally tuned it's like buying a new car and you fall in love with it all over again.
We offer a lifetime guarantee, lifetime warranty, money back promise and we're insurance backed, make sure you use someone who's the same.
Good luck and let me know if you need any advise or guidance.
Regards,
Colin
