Indicated at 40mpg, typical brim to brim calculates at around 38mpg though. Not unusual for OBC's to be optimistic I don't think but at 38mpg I'm happy smile

Is that mainly motorway driving?

What do you think in general? anything annoying you about the car?

I have a 2006 model, to and from work, 16 miles round trip I get about 34/37 Mpg, but then again I'm quite heavy footed and the torque can be adictive.. on the motorway or longer journeys, set the cruise around 85/90 mph i easily get plus 40's. Just looked at the computer, I have done 438 miles, the needle is half way between half and a quarter empty, telling me I have 148 miles left to do, 26 mph average and 36.5 MPG. I'm off to wales tommorrow and I reckon I will crack 600 miles on this tank.. I have achieved 680 miles before.

Mixed but not a huge amount of town or motorway driving - my commute is about 8 miles so quite often it takes half the journey for the temp gauge to get up to normal.

Probably about 90% of the time I use D because it's perfectly good for pootling around. Sport does get used as well within the overall mpg figures wink

The only thing I find annoying (but other owners apparently don't) is the glare that comes off the chrome on the centre console when the Sun's at the wrong angle. Pretty much everything else is a big step forward compared to the X350.

Sunlight, even when directly onto the display, has never been a problem - it's always visible. The only time I've noticed any issue is coming out of a dark tunnel (only the Hatfield Galleria for some reason) into bright sunlight, when there are a couple of seconds before the display readjusts itself.

Where I do think Jag missed a trick is in changing the settings from mph to km/h - all it does is add a digital reading in the centre of the dial, whereas changing the numbers around the dial would work better imho
