Me likey! Very nice car indeed.

Any word on engines yet?

Edit: just found this

Jaguar has previously confirmed the F-type’s engine line-up will consist of its all-new supercharged 3.0-litre V6 and a new version of its familiar supercharged 5.0-litre V8. The former will be available with either 335bhp or 375bhp, but the V8’s figure is as yet unknown

Suggestions in Evo that the V8 will be slightly detuned from the XJR version.

Does that mean the exhaust doesn't fit, they don't want to steal XKR sales or they are leave scope for NormanD to play :-)

Probably the latter.

They wont want the FTR to be faster than the XKR / XJR

Looks the part, in fact it looks gorgeous (especially the Coupe) - but is it going to be another AM V8V job, pretty, but not quick enough or sharp enough?

Is that the final version or another pre-production job? If it's the final version it's lovely. Truely lovely. Massive want!

So is the F-Type more upmarket than the XK?

No. It slots in underneath the XK.

Looks lovely.

Actually, the coupé looks (to me) quite a bit like a Maser GranTurismo, only not quite such a behemoth, which is a good thing.

This will be a sports car not a GT, and therefore much faster than any XK.

I spent some time with an XKR-S the other week. If it's faster than that it will be special!

I should clarify that I mean around a track. And I am sure that is also what Jaguar representative meant when he said "Performance of F-type begins where XK ends".
