After placing my deposit I was told by my dealer maybe May next year. Read the Auto Car mag today and it suggests Jul/Sep 2013, anybody have any info on dates for first customer cars?

Don't quote me but, April the physical cars arrive for dealers, customers later. Each dealer in the UK will only get 2 per month once they start coming through. So depends how far down list you are.....

Great, thanks for that.

Fingers crossed I'm high enough up on the list for an early one.

Wow,72 deposits. That is amazing demand. Or is that a mixture of deposits and LOIs?

Had the call from my dealer last week to supply my spec, order bank not officially open yet but wanted it ready to submit as soon as it was, induction was May delivery. Still in 2 minds the v6s vs v8 question though

If there are 40 dealers in the UK, 80 cars a month , 1,000 a year ?

Seeems a bit light to me. Or is it slow at first to deal with production problems

The majority are heading to the US.

I would imagine the 2 cars per month would only be for the first few months and will increase massively once all the pre-orders near fulfilment. I am extremely interested in what the residuals are as, with the cars priced nearly at XK money, their residuals HAVE to perform a lot better than the XK or 6-12 months after launch they'll be discounts galore.

I have a deposit on the F-Type and am apparently 4th on the list at my dealer (I placed the deposit about 6m ago) however I'm unlikely to use it initially as I think I'll hang on for the coupe. Not only is it likely to drive better (even stiffer?), it's probably going to be cheaper and look even better than the convertible.

My deposit was paid in November 2011 when I thought the coupe would be first. Although I'm very high on my dealers list a convertible does not suit my needs and I can't take a coupe in 2014 due to other plans. Catch 22.

I put down a £1k deposit in October of last year expecting the coupe in June of this year. When informed that the coupe was still the best part of 2 years away I asked for a refund this October. Have bought an R8 in the meanwhile, great car.

So two of us in identical situations. I wonder whether there will be others and the impact on the lists of purchasers at dealers.
