Hello all, after years of Tvr ownership, i have just purchased an 5.0 xkr.Its going to be a very long week until collection.
Can anyone recommend any insurance companies who are offering reasonable quotes for these beasties.
Thanks

Congratulations on your purchase! I too have just purchased a XK 5.0 Supercharged which I collect on Friday from Hatfields Jaguar in Liverpool.

My premium is £644

I'm 34 with no convictions and only 1 minor car park bump in the last 5 years. This reduced my NCB to 3 years. I'm not married either which increases the premium a bit.

Privilege voluntary excess £350 compulsory excess £250, hire car and NCB protected if hit by uninsured driver.
Admiral were £745 but the excess total was £500 not £600

Thank you, likewise!

Always fancied a TVR myself but stuck with XKR's to avoid killing myself! Mind you, my old XKR had 400HP and the car only just kept me pointing in the right direction on wet roundabouts. I am slightly nervous about 510HP......

My 2011 XJL Supersport is £360 with Direct Line. I'm 40, no accidents or convictions, 9 yrs NCB and a Tracker fitted. Excess is £250 compulsory/£250 voluntary.

Lowest non-Tracker quote I could get was £750 through the AA. So basically the Tracker has paid for itself in the first year.

I didn't do a full market comparison though, so you may be able to do better. In my head, I'd thought it was going to be over a thousand pounds, so when Direct Line came in under £400 I snapped it up.
