Hi does anyone know if these cars have a fuel shutoff solenoid after an impact, its only damage my bumper, fires up with easy start sprayed into air cleaner but will not continue to run, any advise appreciated.

Thanks
Danny

Probably a fuel cutout switch. Aparently it's in the driver's footwell somewhere - red button.

(And it's a 3.5 btw)

I'm guessing fuses, but I’m all out of ideas.

If you have correctly reset the switch, then I would check the wiring in the boot. The battery and some of the contol modules are there so maybe something got disconnected or damaged in the shunt?

I read about another X350 that wouldn't start after a minor rear-end impact had damaged the rear bumper. Apparently the fault was eventually traced to the fuel pump inside the fuel tank-it had been damaged by the sudden impact & wasn't pumping fuel, even with the inertia switch correctly reset.
