2001 Daimler v8 4.0 expansion tank bleed hose

Hi all

Having discovered my car has sprung a slight coolant leak iv found that the bleed hose has decided to come away from the coupling that attached it to the rad,so iv got myself a new hose but for the life of me cant suss out how the old one comes off.Also is there meant to be a little metal tube type thing as on the old hose when i pull it away from the coupling theres one there but on the new one there isnt? Is this something broken from the radiator ?
Any ideas anyone?

Assume youre talking about the narrow bore black pipe bleed return to the radiator? There is a collar round the pipe union. Squeeze this in the right place on both sides and it should come off.
