Hi all,

Not the biggest deal, but does anyone have any experience of the screen not functioning when the car is cold??

I only seem to get this after a cold night, the screen shows the Jaguar logo as normal, but the system appears to freeze (excuse the unintentional pun) and refuse to boot up.

I drive my daughter to school, and when I restart the car the system boots up fine, as if the warmth of the shirt drive has cured something.

As said, not the biggest deal apart from I cannot switch on the heated seats!!!

Any ideas anyone? I always shudder at the thought of letting the stealers look at in intermittent fault, so would appreciate any guidance from anyone who has had this issue before.

Many thanks

I too get this from time to time but i just put it down to being alittle elctrical glitch. I just tend to turn the engine off, let the car sit there for a few seconds then start back up and it resets. I too seem to have an issue with my heated seats funny enough. Might be worth checking the fuse.

Woohoo, it's not just mine! smile

2007 XJR. In cold mornings, sub zero cold I mean, my audio will sometimes not work and I get a message telling me to contact service personnel or something.

If I ignore it it will come back on after 5 mins or so. Sometimes it just suddenly comes to life, other times I have to input my pin number and then re-set all the radio stations and settings.

I've always assumed a dry joint or a dodgy connector somewhere.

Not paying for someone to not fix it at the dealers! smile

How are your batteries - had them tested or replaced since new ?

Amazing what a weak one can cause and a new one cure.
