Not sure if this is the right forum, but I need to get my hands a set of 4 rear shocks for my pre-face-lift XJR-s. I believe the shocks are specific to this model? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

thanks.

They were fitted with Bilsteins ( spelling ) yellow in colour with blue writing. Have aook on the JEC website, maybe see what the racing boys use/recommend.

GAZ are an option too, but can unsettle the ride.

If you could post back and let us know how you get on that would be great - it's been niggling in my mind for a while how I'd go about replacing worn suspension parts, since like you say they were specific to the car (unless anyone knows differently?). I needed a front spring last year, and got super lucky - I asked a similar question to yours about the best place to source one, and an hour later someone PMed me saying he had a spare to sell! I doubt I'll be so lucky next time!

Best of luck finding a replacement!

Dan.

if you cannot find brand new items. apparently Bilstein will refurbish/ re-core your existing dampers, and make them as good as new.
not had it done myself, but certainly worth a go in the absence of a new part?

You May want to try KWE. I understand that they have upgrades manufactured that still retain the ride but with better handling....
