for the summer either xk8 or xkr conv. Any one know of a decent far priced car colour not a major issue, been looking and they are either not well looked after or the ones that are over priced (in my view)
looking down south but happy to travel part of the country. Serious intension of buying one, I dont mind an early car depending on its history. 97 -2001 cars considered many thanks in advance all,

Might be worth avoiding dealers altogether IMO. Pretty much all what they stock at the lower end of the market seems to be overpriced stone rashed rubbish to me. Have to take each car on it's merits of course but I've seen enough scabby old Jaguars on self appointed specalists forecourts to be put off for life.

Suggest you keep an eye on carsandclassics, jagads, classiccarsforsale and the Jaguar World magazine. Might be worth joining the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club too to get access to the club classifieds.

What you need to find is an enthusiast selling his P&J rather than a dealer hoping to screw you for a couple of grand with whatever pile of crap he's just picked up from the auctions.

I'll be selling mine soon. 2007 XKR in grey metallic. JEC member, 12 months tax and 12 months MOT, 30k miles. Always kept in heated garage by 65 yr old owner who now has difficulty getting out of car due to arthritis. I own 3 Jags and this XKR has only been use sparingly for going to JEC shows. Full dealer service history of course. Based in South Cheshire. Contact me for pics
