Thanks to Ashley here, one luverly Carnelian Red XK waiting on it's new owner smile

Once a detailer has done his work, she'll be ready

It's odd, not seen a single other Carnelian Red XK around - not on forecourts or online ads. Don't think the colour is that horrendous!

Congrats! Love the colour.
Have you had a current-shape XK before? I've only owned mine for a few weeks but I absolutely love it. It's doing everything very well indeed, and I use it as my daily driver, main family car. It isn't great for carrying my mountain bike ;-) but I guessed that before I bought it.
Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

I had the 2006-2010 edition but got flooded when I stalled in water and a river broke it's bank. Loved it so much decided to get a replacement. Red ones are just impossible to find - especially non-supercharged. As I do 140 miles per day 2-3 days per week, the extra few miles per gallon actually makes a difference. And the NA 5.0 engine is a very fine lump indeed. It is just a shame they did not update the electronics as happened with the latest XF model.

My XK is a 2012 5.0L NA in Claret. But like unrepentant, I live a continent away to the west.

Hadn't noticed you had started this thread Mike.

PDI all done, car stored inside waiting for your detailer on Thursday.

Really does look good in Carnelian. Not sure I can justify the extra cost for the Italian Racing Red...

Have an IRR / Ivory XKR cab on site which you can have a look at when you come up on Friday if you like.

Many thanks to Ashley for a truly first class dealer experience. After 4-5 dealers in this car hunt, it was refreshing to be treated like a fellow human being smile

Crappy cell phone photo and does not do the colour justice. Was blown away by the wheels - was not aware the Orona were two toned. Lovely finish.

lovely car. Thew new headlights introduced in 2011 make a big difference in my opinion. I keep looking at XK's as a daily driver....

Yup smile

I really thought the old XK would float ... darn shame!
