I need to replace mine as I can't stand the noise any longer. Theres plenty of tread on them, but they are 18 months old, and the heat here in Dubai seems to have killed them. They are some kind of Dunlops, but wondering if anyone had any recommendations for the quietest tyre in the world! I don't care about grip or how long they last, just don't want a headache every time I drive for more than 10 mins.

Cheers.

Oh, car is the SV8.

had an SV8 a few years ago in Saudi Arabia, it ether came with Dunlop or Pirelli on it, cant really remember. when it was time to change I went for Michelin which was much better.

I had Pilot Sport 3s on my S Type R.
I had no complaints at all.

Now I know I'll be shot down in flames for not having J marked tyres, but, even the dealers said don't bother with the Pirelli's. I too thought the Dunlops were awful, grip is very binary in the wet and they are noisy at all other times. So I did a bit of an experiment, Bought 4 x Federal Evo 595's with correct load rating etc, really good in comparison, less noise, more progressive grip/slip moment, clear standing water well, so far really pleased. No idea what they will last like.

i had a good look at the carcass when they arrived, nicely moulded, very strong sidewall, so far so good.
