What's peoples opinion on this car? We've got one arriving at our dealership next week so personally I'm really excited. partly for the exclusivity, to see what makes it so special and as a last hurrah for the XK.

Great car....if you are a 13 year old.

How anybody would ever want to be seen in such a caricature of a car is beyond me.

Book me in for a test drive this weekend and I can give you a full evaluation! clap

Strange reply from Aston man above, with two XJr-S' in his garage..........were these not the "equivalent" in their day?

I think you're local to us. I'll let you know when the car arrives if you want to come and have a look.

Not dissing your RS's, 'twas just an observation that these were the "animal" incarnation of the XJS, Lister excepted, as the XKR-s GT is today, evolution dictates styling mon amithumbup

He is right though.
A spoiler on the back of a 90s Jag is no different to gills on a '10s Jag.
Moving with the time.
Personally i love the styling! In baby blue! cloud9

Disagree.

XJR-S is to XJS as DBS is to DB9 ---> Tasteful styling add ons with a hint of mild aggression.

XKRS-GT is to XKR as SLS Black Series is to SLS ---> Tacky add ons with a strong dose of boy racer, hardly in keeping with the stature/prestige of the car.

Would be nice to see some pictures particularly if in a different colour vs the white one I have seen in official releases

Personally I think it is too much "sport in the face" and would still prefer a "normal" XKR over it, a little bit like a XJR-S vs XJS to make an example already used in this dicussion
Not that I do not like a track version for a Jag but would like more subdle changes

XJr-S is the XKR-S of today,

the XKR-S GT takes it up a level again pretty mutch like this did to the XJr-S.....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THE-ORIGINAL-PROTOTYPE-M...

then of course, as already mentioned, theres the Lister XJS........

Jaguar have to keep moving forwards or get left behind even further in the Supercar stakes. There was a time when they were destroying the likes of Maserati, Ferarri, MB, Aston on the race track and could keep their heads high on the road. Seems the last 2 decades they have become third rate performance cars. Great benifit to me as i just aquired an XKR for pennies compared to the Maserati Spyder and DB7's I was looking at. Same or better performance for half the money!

That's why I've kept my XKR, spent some cash on upgrades and developed a Manual Gearbox conversion

Sod what it looks like, they've finally managed to beat the XJ220's time around the ring in the thing. When the XKR-S came out and was trumpeted as being the fastest accelerating Jag of all time Chris Harris pointed out that although it might get to the first corner in front of a 220, from then on it wouldn't know which way the old girl went. So now they've finally made one that goes around corners as well as it annihilates the straights.
The unanswered question is can you get this version with the Transit body work?

Think the point of this car has been missed somewhat. The "styling" modifications are there for aerodynamics, not for aesthetics. This car is intended for track use, not being seen in while nipping to the shops or the like.

Any more news on this car? Is it new or used? If used, then what sort of price? Am I correct in thinking only 10 made for the UK market? Questions, questions, questions.

There have been 13 made for the UK. I have been trying to get one and was told they were all built to order and all sold. So if Harwoods have one it should have been ordered in for a customer.

Hi Geoff, I have sent you a PM.

The car is now with us and looks absolutely incredible. if I had a spare £135,000 in my pocket, it would already be mine.
