Radio Cassettes are a little bit outdated these days and I don't have the cassette for the cd changer so I want to put my all singing all dancing Kenwood head unit into my XJR.

Today I had a look behind the original stereo. There are 2 connectors to the left, one white one blue, I presume these go to the amp and the cd changer. There's also an earth with a nut above 'em.

Next is a white block connector which must be speakers, possibly power as well.

Then there is a fixed black wire with no connector, I think it's the aerial but it could be main power in as well.

Can anyone shed any light as to which wires do what exactly?

Sorry, no, but I bought one of these for my X300:

Seemed a bit pricey but a nice, neat solution.

Cheers, I bought one yesterday.

Did you wire the aerial into it?

Hmm...think it just had a normal aerial set-up.

Sorry, not much help.

How did you get on? If you have the amplifier (the second round plug) then your speaker cables are all routed to the boot so you'll have had a hell of a job. Re wiring new speaker cable is probably easiest.
