Not sure if mentioned before but special offer until the end of june.

seems like a good price for a 4.5 hour job on an S-Type at a main dealer.

Hi
Many thanks for the link, booked my S Type in at the local main dealer today for a cam belt change next Wednesday.
Car only done 60k, but on the basis it is a keeper, I feel better paying out £375 now with loads of life in the car, rather than wait till 105k, pay full price, and wonder how long the car will last.
I actually got rid of my last S Type 3 years ago at 98k, on the basis that a full price cam belt at the time was too much to pay, given the value of the car, a big mistake really missed the car, as above, paying up front now so I don't have the same dialema in 18 months time, can't see the car going past 165k when the next belt will be due!
Many thanks

Took advantage of the £375 cam belt change (normally £820 at a MD), and got the gear box oil changed at the same time, so you might say, a bit of preventative maintenance given the car has only done 60k, but as I plan to keep it, so it seemed like a good investment to see me through the next 60k - 80k.
Main dealer loaned me a 2.2 XF for a couple of days whilst the work was done. I have to say, I am not a fan of the model I had. 8 speed box with the 2.2 resulted in the thing constantly changing gear, and the engine is not very smooth compared with a V6 which I think didn't help. On top of that, the model I had, had wood, well, they call it wood, I have seen similar finishes on flat pack down B & Q, but I did peep in a model with 'piano black' and metal finish, and it looked like a different car. Main dealer did say that I needed to drive a 3 ltr to appereciate the XF.
Brilliant service from the main dealer, except for pointing out a few more jobs that need doing, but they can wait a while!
