Hi has anyone seen this advertised. it looks very clean, but with a gearbox fault probably electrical. Would need some de-pimping but im tempted.

Any views?

If the gearbox was an easy fix and the LPG was still working ok, it'd be an awesome car, I reckon.

Cost equivalent would probably be about 40mpg on LPG.

Sounds like a good candidate for a manual box conversion.

40mpg is very optimistic, i ve had 2 4.0 xj6s on lpg, i d get an average of 27mpg equivalent, so i would expect about 20mpg on the v12.

wouldnt really want to go down the manual route either, would be hoping for a relatively easy fix on the current box

Really? I had a 4 litre, manual XJ6 and that would get a cost equivalent of about 40mpg,though I guess I was using it for mainly motorway work. My V12 XJS gets high 20s on the motorway. Obviously I have fairy feet!

Anyway, I still think that car could be pretty awesome.
