HI,

Any ideas on how to open a boot lid where the push button catch has broken? The button depresses as usual but is not operating the catch.

Will it open using the internal button drivers position?

HI Thanks for the interest. Actually this is a 1956 XK so no drivers side catch. Problem solved. I have never locked the boot and it came back from the garage locked. So I got in a muddle with the catch.

Welcome aboard David, nice to see another XK150 owner in the forum, keep getting people with X150's who think they own an XK150 :-) Very different beast, but I'm enjoying both.
I'd have to go and check, I can't remember which side the catches are for the hatch between the read seats and the boot, but I've a feeling that they're on the inside so if the worst comes in future you can get into the boot. Usual problem is that the boot lid is so damn heavy people just think its still locked.
Usually the best place to ask about XKs would be in the classic forum.
