Have a set of part worn but legal and usable 225/60/16 P6000s to give away.

Massive clearout of stuff happening at JS Towers so will be going in the skip in a couple of weeks time, but in the meantime if anybody wants them PM me.

Collect mid Essex.

Hi Steve, now that the P6000s have been discontinued - what are the generally recommended replacements in that size for the XJ?

I'm not sure there is. The P6000 went on mid 90's on XJs because Jaguar got them for peanuts and fleet managers and lease companies who bought most new XJs loved them as they are almost impossible to wear out.

I've had a set of Falken ZE 912 on my last XJ which were quite noisy on some surfaces and wore quickly and have recently done a good deal on Vedestien Ultrac Centos for my current one. Too early to tell how they will wear but they seem quiet and reasonably comfortable and so far the only downside is they seem a bit susceptible to temporary flat spotting. Currently running those at 30/32 PSI.

I do quite a few thousand miles every year in Europe in hired cars, and they more often than not have Michelin Primacys on. They work out at £130+ a corner in my XJ size but money was no object I'd probably go for those.

They also made the "J" version of the tyre which would allow for the range of tyre pressure options to give the different comfort/handling options.

Damn. I have 16x8J sport wheels, which are 225/55R16. I had a spare set of P6000s, but they were nicked frown

I've put both Michelin Primacy and Pirelli P7s on mine. Both seem fine.
