I've asked the dealer to remove the badges from the back of my F Type (it's something I've done with every car I've ever had...) the dealer tells me it's impossible without damaging the paintwork....does anyone know if they are right or not. Seems strange when I've managed it with every other brand...

Hairdryer. Warm surface. Carefully lift corner and peel. Job done. Your Jaguar dealership needs to be charging you about £300 for the privilege. I'll do it for £299 wink

You should be able to remove the model designation badges using the method described above. Use methylated spirit to clean up any adhesive residue.

I took the "XJ L" badges off mine without issue.

The leapers will usually be attached behind the body panel, so you'd leave holes if you tried to remove that.

Thanks for that, I asked them to speak to Jaguar themselves and they have agreed to do it as long as I take responsibility if it goes wrong. I have to say the Jaguar dealer is a step down to what I'm used to...
