As above Ladies and Gents, who has serviced your 6 speed ZF boxes?

Many thanks.

I did my own service. It's no more challenging than an engine oil change. The parts and fluids kits from Bristol Transmissions come complete with clear instructions including the refill procedure and new sump bolts. Specialist knowledge is not required, although it does help if the gearbox is allowed to drain overnight as the fluid dribbles out rather than pours out. You can never empty the torque converter but you'll get a good 6 litres of the old oil out if it's allowed to drip out overnight.

DesignXKR did mine on my 4.2 S-type, was noticeably smoother afterwards too and got rid of the squark it sometimes made.

I used David Marks, in Nottingham for my gearbox oil change. He kept it overnight to ensure the levels were spot on.
There are plenty of capable Jaguar independents who understand the need to change the 'sealed for life' gearbox oil. Where are you based? - I'm sure plenty on here can recommend someone local to you.

Best wishes,

David
