SVR F-Pace - Engine Management light
Discussion
If there’s any sign of a misfire don’t drive it. Mine did it twice, the first time was just a O2 sensor, replaced relatively easily and cheaply. The second time an injector packed in (resulting in the misfire) putting an engine light on. Apparently they fail open and just dump fuel into the cylinder with expensive results!

Thanks all.
It's my first time with JLR products and I'm now worried to take this car to Europe for a 2 week trip soon - even though the Jag assistance / warranty are in place.
If they find it is an O2 sensor get them to replace both. Save you worry about the other one going. That’s assuming that is the problem. They should come out fairly quickly. Was oxygen sensor indeed.
The JLR rep I've purchased the car from couldn't be bothered to try sort this out for me, so I've ended up contacting dealerships nearby to try and arrange a service appointment and have the oxygen sensor replaced.
The fault occurred on the same day of purchase.

I've had it before when you've plugged the code reader in it tells you there is a problem with catalytic convertor bank 1, again it;s not the cat, it's the o2 sensor misreading the effect of the cat
I've never had one i've replaced re go, has anyone? I wonder if it's a case of replacing all the originals or a case of almost making them a service item, to be replaced after so many years
I'm glad you're enjoying the car, never drive the f-pace but the more I drive the f-type the more I discover how much of a weapon they are

Cracking cars - had mine for 7 years and just back from 1500 mile trip across France in 39 degree heat. Super reliable and super fun. Car now has 50k miles on the clock and looking forward to the next 50k.
I did have an O2 sensor go on my F-Type but not on the F-Pace (so fingers crossed)

Planning to do the long France trip too next month! A very reassuring post, thanks.I did have an O2 sensor go on my F-Type but not on the F-Pace (so fingers crossed)
I just did 1.3k miles in 5 days.
Went to AMG factory tour, and to Mulhouse for the Musee National de l'automobile - collection Schlumpf - nice to have the cooled seats when its 39c outside.
Goes nicely on the autobahn, but does like a drink.
Exhaust note never gets old. Done 5k miles in mine in 6 months (its been expensive thanks to petrol).
Only I could buy a V8, and fuel price rockets! I too have the light interior - mines white - wasn't sure at first - but now I see the dark interior, even though its a pain to keep clean - I would not swap - unless its a lovely blue one - that I should of got and ignored the missus! - she thought the blue stands out too much.
