Hi;

I'd like a book about the XJ220, i've looked on fleabay a few times and can't find anything. Amazon to list a book by Philip Porter but it's out of print and is £700:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jaguar-XJ220-Philip-Porter...

Anyone know where I can get a copy? Does anyone have it, is it actually any good?

Cheers.

Mike Moreton has just completed a fabulous new book about the XJ220. He was on the original engineering team, a really good read that contains all the inside knowledge. His booked should be published in Autumn.

To be fair it wasn't you, 't was the new guy above you.

I have a copy of Mike's book (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jaguar-XJ-220-Inside-Story/dp/1845842502/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1280224922&sr=1-1) on pre-order, hope it's as good as it sounds.

I saw a great clip of I think a TWR version on Motors TV a few years back. Wasnt on for long, but was being driven through country roads (like they usually do on Maxi Test) but it looked awesome.

Hi, First post, I came across this site whilst looking to sell the XJ 220 hardcover book by Phillip porter i have.
I see the seller on Amazon is trying to fetch over £1000 for his copy and mine is of similar quality. Just ever so slightly worn in one corner of the case. The book itself is in near perfect condition.

If you are interested in buying this book please get in contact to discuss.

Hi.

Thanks for the offer, but I don't activley collect motoring books or anything, I just like reading them. Because of that it's difficult to justify spending more then, say, £50 or so on a book no matter it's rarity or market value.

Thanks anyway but if you end up putting it on Ebay let me know.

Not sure if anyone is still looking for the Philip Porter XJ220 book, but I have just listed one on eBay for a seven day auction.

To the OP, I bought new, the Jaguar XJ220 - The Inside Story - by Mike Morton last year from Amazon for £75.
I noticed at the time there were 2 by Philip Porter (second hand) both going for £1500!

I guess they must be printing some extras by Mike Moreton. Hopefully they filter through to e-bay for you. I bought mine as a keeper so unfortunately will not be going to e-bay.

Good luck in your search, sure one will come up soon.
