The horrid Falken 452's are getting changed in January and fancy giving TOYO's or Goodyears a go.

Any recommendations on which to go for ?

Heard good things about the Goodyears but alway been happy with the Toyo's on other cars I have fitted them too.

yes T1Rs.

Had two sets of F1s on Mrs JS's Pug GTI from new and recently fitted T1Rs, and Baby JS has T1Rs on his quick Saxo.

Absolutely stunning levels of grip and superb feel in the dry - I've never driven on any other tyre quite as good as these. Traction control warning light was always coming on when you thrashed the Pug on F1s, but a lot less so with the T1Rs. Not so good in the wet 'tho - the Pug wriggles about like a cut worm if you push it on damp roads, that's the only time the F1's were a bit better.

Nice and quiet too, but they don't last if you spank them - Baby JS got less then 7k out of his last set, though to be fair most of that was during a 6 week, V max European hoon and several laps of the 'ring.

Try Camskill for best prices.

Experiences on a Jag would be nice ( hence the question on a Jag forum smile ) , RWD lots of power and a heavy car.

I made the mistake of buying Falkens that some people raved about, they just don't suit the Jag at all.

Have a look at Pneus Online and Black Circles for tyre reviews.

Sorry, no idea what the two choices you mentioned would be like on an S Type, my post was
only intended to illustrate the differences I've found between the two tyres you are interested in under hard driving on a lightweight GTI. Of course you may or may not be able to draw conclusions from that when considering fitting the same tyres to a heavy RWD car.

I've got Falken 912s on my XJ8 and am really pleased with them - much better tyre than the OE Pirellis IMO - but it's horses for courses. The 912s are a touring tyre, strongly biased towards straight line stability, ride comfort and low noise levels rather than high performance. That's ideal for the use my XJ gets.

I get my Toyo's from www.tyretraders.com

They will deliver to you or your local fitter if you wish, you then pay to have them fitted
Or they have there friendly fitters where they can send them to with an all in price

Sport Contact's were on the car when I bought it, they are OEM Jag. Also tried the Sport Contact 3's

I found the Cont's went off quickly though so thought I'd give another maker a go.
