XJR 100 questions
Discussion
Hi
I am looking into getting a non-nikasil V8 XJR, it seems that they go for circa £3500 - £5000. I am wondering how much more expensive the XJR 100 models are? How much do they go for these days?
What is it about them apart from the 500 made that sets them apart from other XJRs?
Cheers

Apparently there were only 89 sold in the UK. There is a very nice looking 38000 mile example for sale in the Jaguar Enthusiasts magazine but I'm not sure if it's advertised anywhere else. It's up for £11500.
There have been a couple on the Jaguar Approved network last year too - can't remember what the asking prices were.

We have one of the 82 then, I thought they were also highly speced with the upgraded stero, sat nav, phone etc well ours has any way.
The XJR (300, 308, 350) are all very nice cars and I would always recommend them 2nd hand as you get so much car for your money. The deal with the 100 was to celebrate Jaguars 100th birthday so you could get a 100 in XJR, XKR coupe, & convertible, but all came in black IIRC.

You will easily get one of the run out x308 xjr models for that money, and have plenty left to do the chains and tensioners etc. if required. With the right options the only real difference to the 100 would be the red stitching, badge and possibly the kick plates. Don’t forget to price the cost of replacement disks and pads for the brembo option from an Jag independent before you commit, it caught me and a few others out by surprise, some threads on here if you do a search.
IMHO the S type R is nice but the X308 XJR is beautiful.
Good luck,
Cecil
