What do you know about these wheels :o)
Discussion
Hi All
an interloper from the TVR side here. Hope you're all doing well and enjoying all the lateral action in the present cobditions
A quick question:-
I saw these wheels on what I thought was a 2001 S Type but have not seen them on any other model since. Can you identify the wheel model or code or even if they're Jag issue ?

Many thanks for any responses

Paul,
I have the S-Type brochures etc from 2001. The pics in it are not the best as far as wheel options are concerned but it looks like the wheel in your pic is called Monaco, is 8 x 18, and is part of the Jaguar R Performance range of accessories for the S-Type. Interestingly, I do not think this wheel was standard equipment for the S-Type R. I cannot be 100% about the wheel though. Maybe another Jaguarperson will confirm I'm right, or correct my info.

Paul why do you ask, as I would be intrested in a set.

Paul,
I've just googled Jaguar Monaco wheels and, bingo, up they came! The details in my earlier post look to be correct! There are sites where refurbished sets can be bought, too.
Over to you to pursue, maybe.

Yes Roger, following your info I have Googled myself to death on the subject (A filthy habit I should have given up years ago I've just googled Jaguar Monaco wheels and, bingo, up they came! ) but have found great difficulty in getting the info I want.95% of info relates to 8J wheels and what I really want is 8.5J.
I would also like to know the size of the hub spigot countersink.
Also need to know the centreline offset ranges.
And the PCD !!

The prices have shocked me too with $1500 being a regular asking price

Thanks again for your help though

I was looking for a different look for my Cerb and liked these.
If you're interested in a set, there is a set of 4 x 8J's on Ebay HERE

They're pretty rare. I seem to recall that it was an expensive option available on any engine s type, but initially only with cats suspension.
In my 9 months dealing with 40 or so jags a month I can only recall a couple of cars equipped with them. The rim is a stainless cover that can be replaced like the Montreal alloys, so buying a set needing a refurb isn't too much of a problem.
Call jag Burnham parts department - Julian sometimes has used sets of wheels in stock, and odd ones if you need to make up a set.
