X-Type - Cruise not available?

We have a manual 52 Reg X-Type 2.1 which comes up with the message "Cruise Not Available" and the warning light comes on, then after a few seconds the message disappears. It still drives normally, apart from the very occasional judder.

It has had several sensors replaced, yet the fault remains.

Is this a common problem? Has anyone else had this issue?

Most likely its one of the rear abs sensor rings corroded.
Could also be a failing battery - when they start to go they create all manner of strange faults.
