XF Diesel S and KFR - real world MPG
Discussion
Currently weighing up the pro's and con's of both of the above and would like to know views on what is achievable as far as average mpg on either.
I'm ignoring Jaguar's quoted combined figures as in relatity one rarely achievs these - although I frequently achieved close to their quoted combined figures for my 4.2 XKR during my day to day commute.
I apreciate that if you get too excited in either of the cars then the figures will plummet but I'm a bit vconcerned that it may way to easy to be in the 'teens' with the XFR hence why I'm seriously considering the Diesel S too.

It is easy to get mpg in the teens with the XFR but this depends on how much urban driving you do.
Short local trips and I might get 16mpg
The car suits longer trips - I recently had a 250 mile round trip, mainly motorway with some hard acceleration at times (just can't resist) and I got 21mpg
I think the best you might get is around 23mpg.
Conclusion: XFR is thirsty but SO MUCH FUN!
