sat nav ??? off air??

any one know the situation with built in sat nav on the xk just been told they wont work in a month due to digital whats the way fore ward thanks all

Who told you?

SatNav is simply receiving signals from the GPS system, which isnt being switched off, and comparing that with the map things on your CD/DVD, which isnt being switched off.

There might be a problem with AM/FM signals in 2017 or so, but this isnt related to the analogue TV switch off in 2012.

Basically, this was a mate in the pub hopefully, rather than a dealer. If the latter, might be worth a word to the dealer principal about false representation.

You can tell him that cars without satnav will stop working on Tuesday when Venus comes into conjunction with Mars...

I hope it wasn't a franchised dealer.
