Old XK8 - how to get power back?
Discussion
Hi gents.
My 97 plate xk8 (116000 miles)
Is now running smoothly but i bet a good few of the horses have escaped over the years.
What can bring some of them back?
Also would a dose of fuel injector cleaner do any good?
Was thinking of getting plenum chamber cleaned etc - worthwhile?
Would welcome your thoughts as the knowledge on here is 100 times better than eggheads!

Huh - forget this - car came back from garage today - ran beautifully for 15 miles. Stopped and got out, got back in and restricted perf light came on. There is a whump whump sound from under the bonnet which was diagnosed as a worn crankshaft pulley damper. Bought a new one which they fitted, although when i say new it was a used one one from North East Jag Spares in Newcastle, but it is now making the same noise. Any other ideas? The actual performance does not seem to be very restricted but the noise is embarrassing. My 97 plate xk8 (116000 miles)
