I now don't own a diesel
Discussion
With fuel prices ever increasing, I thought the most sensible thing I could do would be px the Mondeo Diesel for an XJR.
So, on Saturday, I picked up my first Jag, an XJR, and covered 400 miles. A very different driving experience to anything I've had before. Lovely.
A very interesting swift but sensible run followed by a bike with a pillion passenger through North Wales on Sunday, then as I let him past (after he'd seemed to be happy following me) I received a double thumbs up from him and passenger. They waved when they saw me going past in the next village too! Made me feel all happy!
Anyway, hopefully I won't regret the bills, but we'll see!

Looks gorgeous! Yes, petrol is a bit pricey, but compared to where it is probably going, I'm all for owning a V8 while you can!
Only one criticism from me would be to get those 'orrible alloys off and fit some gorgeous Jaguar/BBS 20' Sepangs, Cremona's or Calista rims instead!

Cheers! - That's the logic I went for. Do it while you can! Anyway, even filling the Mondeo cost over £65 these days, so the Jag £90-100? - Big painful headline figure, but it's easy to forget how expensive ANY car is these days. For goodness sake, I can now get £50 in the MX-5! - Anyway, it's a price you have to accept for the performance. The wheels are 19" Sabres, and were fitted to quite a few XJR from '05 onwards (factory spec I think). I wasn't sure about them in the pictures either, but I quite like them in the flesh. More than I thought I would.
Whether I change them will depend how long I keep it. My norm is to run them for about 3 years, but we'll see...
