Does anyone have a recommendation for some uprated pads for a 2002 S type R? I've found the standard Jag ones are a)bleedin expensive, b)don't last long and c)fade very quickly. I've found some EBC red and yellow stuff but have red some mixed reviews on the quality. Does anyone have any experience of them or other uprated pads?

Also, looking for a new set of front wheels (Mrs Barrettabolt has managed to buckle both a little in some winter potholes) and a front foglight and air intake surround that fell victim to a pheasant strike. Anyone know of a good source for bits like these. Again, Jag want bananas money for these bits (£800 each for the wheels, £300 for the foglight!!)

For brake pads I use Ferrodo DS2500

For parts try Eurojag on 01325 722777

I've got red stuff on mine, certainly better than Jag OEM albiet similar price.

Better stopping power and certainly less fade, they do seem to surface score the disk more but then I suppose it's a more agressive compound.

Hmm, Eurojag didn't have any (the Ferodo that is) I don't suppose anyone has a part number or an alternate source?

Try doing a Google search for 'Ferrodo DS 2500' and I'm sure it will come up with numerous retailers.

I use them in my TVR and they are a really good fast road pad, they don't fade and do stop very well. Alternatively Mintex do a fast road pad but you will have to ask the retailers which one it is.
