havin problems with my 98 xj8

Is it when you say come up to a roundabout, slow down and the engine dies
If so I could be the Throttle body, Jaguar did have a free replacement for some time, but that has now stopped
A new thottle is in the region of £1,000 If it is that I do have a new one for a lot less if interested

What part of the world are you in ?
Reason why I ask slightly contradicts Normans helpful email, I had the similar issue and it was the throttle body, now two Main Dealers said that the service recall on replacement had stopped, however I then said to Rybrook jaguar in Warrington that there is the potential for a legal case here.
Should the main dealer be aware of a potentially dangerous problem and the recall had not been done and there was an accident I would sue, and this despite the car being out of the main dealer network, rocked the service guy a little and they agreed to do it for nothing. This was about 12 months ago.
Its worthwhile calling the dealer(s) telling them that you are aware of the throttle body issue and its potential danger (this has been known to happen in the third lane on the motorway) and that there is a service recall on it, will they put it right.
I'm no solicitor...but this approach worked for me.
Good Luck
