Hi,

I have an issue with my 2005 Jag X Type 2.0D. I have been to a variety of garages and today dropped it into a main dealer to have a full diagnostic carried out on it. The outcome is that they have diagnosed that the turbo actuator is faulty and needs to be replaced.

The garage have stated that the only way in which to have the car repaired is to replace both the turbo unit and the actuator. Are the garage trying to make a quick buck?

I have tried some other local garages (Glasgow) and not been able to get one separately either.

Can anyone advise of a source?

Cheers

Aidan

That is correct i`m afraid.Soot build up due to crap fuel causes it. Stick a regular tank of real diesel in it more often and keep off the chip fat
