Rear lower damper bushes.

Have some one bounce the rear of the car, while you grap the lower damper mount and feel if its got movement.

VERY common, but not very nice to fit. (unless some ones found a way to do them wish the damper still on the car?!?)

Unless I've misunderstood something, these cars all share the same part.

Might be worth contacting JDHT. it shows them as a seperate item on their diagrams.

Errrr there is no upper bush......it has a stud that bolts into a pan then 3 bolts from the pan into the bodywork. If you have CATS suspension then the electrics plug directly into the top

Remove the top mounting plate (4 nuts)

Er there are 2, foam mounts either side of the plate ,which bolts to the bodywork and there are 4 nuts that hold that plate to the inner tub. There is a allen socket in the top of the damper. Secure the upper part of the damper and undo the securing nut to gain access to the upper and lower bushes. Here endeth the fist lesson.........

hello again, well, not sure about this, had a better look, seems the knock is coming from an alloy plate at the top of the shock/spring, when you push up and down on the car the plate becomes slack and moves ALOT, seems to be the noise source, any ideas, dont want to buy shocks just to find its not even the prob, thanks for all the help men!

it's the bushes that these guys ate talking about. Just a case of finding someone who sells them, you need 2 per side.
