XKC 003 lives. Despite being broken up at Browns Lane on the 29th of August 1953. Proteus replica more like it.

If fake, it would be interesting to ask for copies of the documentation...

Just look at the side of the bonnet. Should be four vents not louvres. Terry Larson's C Type Register, confirmed by the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust, states that 003 was broken up in 1953.

Rumour has it that this car has been punted about for some time now. With a first registration date of September 1950. In Spain.

Time travel. Marvellous.

The number/ letter stamps on the chassis plate are too big, the cam clearances have been missed off and its` on 15 inch rims aswell.Still, some half wit will buy it? ( somebody has already).I see the guy wants a C or a D for a european client. Not this one though, funny that.

You Tube video also shows lipped wheel arches. Separate rear indicators too by the looks of it.

The car, according to impeccable soutces, has been punted around for at least two years. Not that it is of unusual for high end racingthe genuine article.

If this 003 had been passed off as a correct copy ( which it seems it is far from it), with perhaps some genuine components, it would have been worth more in it`s own right, imho, simular to the Peter Jaye C types. It certainly would not have attracted such a critical eye. I`m building 10 ex works Mk1 saloons but this are `based` on cars built by factory, substantiated by interviews and known historie. They will have a value, but to pass them off as original would be laughable, as those that exist are well documented.
