Hi All,

As dad has changed his job, the 3-week Europe tour I was planning won't go ahead as he won't have 3 weeks holiday available. So there isn't much point in getting Oliver through another MOT and then starting the restoration next year and then rushing to get it finished.

So I have started the long strip-down process now putting all screws and nuts separately in bags and labeling them making sure I don't lose anything.

Just been out and finished getting the headliner out and god its in a rough state. A previous owner was obviously extremely thick, having put bathroom sealant inbetween most of the trim holding the headliner on.

So most of the trim's foam is now ripped, and will probably need replacing.

Removed headliner:

The lights that sit on the headliner: (notice how they were held on with bathroom sealant)

Rear window trim removed waiting for an AutoGlass appointment to come out so I can get to the rust:

I also removed the tailgate badges and numberplate and surround and the chrome strip under the bootlid:

Thats it for now, more pics tomorrow

Both of the headlights out today to access some rust behind and because a previous owner had filled in some holes behind them.

I think I've just got the rear & front bumpers and various little bits of trim to take off before I can start getting on with the rust, then interior, suspension and finally the engine.
