Air-Con Compressor XJ8 (308) 1999 model

looks like I will be needing a replacement air con compressor.
Question is new or rfurbished or simply 2nd hand??
Any thoughts, advice or good sources to try?

There are 10 on fleabay at the moment (if you search xj8 compressor) from £47.00 up including delivery. It's up to you but I would see which seller has the best description and feedback, buy it and stick it in. Then off to Quickfit for a recharge.
