Back out today after 10 days of being snowed in, with upto 12" of snow. Ice and compacted snow has been a major issue and is still evident now.
Still had to 'dig her out' this morning, but just wanted to get out again....felt like a new toy!

Of all the years of having a Jag, I just don't trust them in the snow....I have been out the last two years in the snow, but this years exceptionally heavy falls forced me to wait. It's not me so much I worry about, it's the other loonatics that may crash into me! Happy days smile

I was suprised how well my old Series 1 XJ6 held up to the weather. I had to dig it out from knee deep snow on the driveway, but on anything that's less than the ground clearance of the car its been quite happy. I had a panic moment when the temperatures hit -18 but the antifreeze in the car was up to the job.

The real pain in the arse has been defrosting the door handles every morning so I can get in the beastie!

I am lucky enough to have two Jags, an XKR and an XJ8. Almost useless on ice, so we have a Shogun to fill the gap. Both the Jags will not get off the drive!

I have found my XJ8 to be more sure footed in the snow than my XJ40 and have been driving daily in the snow. The only drama was when going down a steepish hill and the car sliding under moderate braking (due to the weight I assume)
