Hello Guys,

I've got a late 2007 XKR portfolio convertible that's in an official jaguar workshop at the moment.

At about 30.000km a warning light (illuminated engine sign) would apear now and then. Then it started with giving me the message "reduced power".

The jaguar mecanic says it's got to do with the cats being loose which they have ordered new and are about to install. I also got a light burnt oil smell from time to time. Mostly after a spirited although sensible drive.

Mecanic says it's the rear diff that leaks and they will replace it.

Is this in any way a known or common issue?

Thanks for your answer,
Filip

Not the first time I've heard of issues with these Portfolio cars. Last time someone came on here to discuss an issue was that the rear brakes wore out his discs after a couple 1000 miles.
