Hi Guys

Been advised by Jaguar at my latest service that the pads all round have just over 2mm left.

They have qouted £220 Back and £300 Front and £280 Labour Total £800 Vat inclusive. These are Brembo pads MXD2750AA (BACK) MXD1550AB (FRONT)

Am i correct that i can ONLY get from a Jag main dealer. Am not interested in other makes as have had so many conflicting reports.

Your thoughts would be appreciated

Regards

Jeremy

Rears £32 and fronts not much more - just Google Brembo and the number

Jaguar can be a little comical with parts pricing

Good luck

Amen! Stratstone recently advised me that pads were getting low plus the disks were approaching 'replace' time (XJR100, 70.4K, miles) so I think the time has come to look at others (EBC etc.) for the parts so I'm interested in how this thread goes!

If you do a search for XJR100 brembo brakes you will find the same thing; that these were specific to our cars and you can only get them through Jaguar main dealers. IIRC we were being quoted over £2k for new discs and pads all round by a Jag main dealer. So we took the jag to a motorsport specialist who has direct links with brembo and they were able to get them direct from brembo, they then fitted them for us. This saved us about £500!

Still bloody expensive but the car felt so much better afterwards clap

The ones I linked to my earlier post are listed as XJR100 Brembo pads, with the same part number quoted and rears are £32 a pair. I am no expert, it must be worth giving them a call

That is very naughty - they say Brembo in the description. Mind you at that price differential I'd be tempted to try them on the fronts (if the rears have abit left in them) given them are from company like Mintex, you've not wasted much if you bin them in a month or so

Lovely car by the way, I nearly bough one last time when my V8 went. I found a mint 30k example in London, but went A8 instead. Could hardly be more different, the Audi is amasingly capable and very clever on snow etc, but no soul.

Euro Car Parts stock the discs and pads for the Brembo R upgrade.

Front Discs (1 pair) and Pagid Pads (1 set) cost me £226 inc VAT. I've run these on my car for 7000+ miles. They work. The pad material is very good even when driven hard.

I don't know the price for the rears but I would expect them to be lower because they're smaller.

does this require a caliper upgrade or does the brembo upgrade use the standard ones?

The Brembo brakes on the XJR and XKR are a different size to the standard calapers, disks and pads

Are the X308 XJR 100 brake Discs and/or calipers the same parts as what were used on the X350 XJR?
