Anyone know when this is due to be released, all the reports point to end of 2011 is that september or December though ??

I was looking to order one next month for an april delivery but now thinking twice if the faclift isn't too far away.

It's usually after the August shut down, it will be the 2012 Model Year

Duty rumour is that the facelifted models will also come with a fairly decent price hike too mind!

Spoke to the dealer today, no official release from Jag but seems to think October, ordering starting August. Price hike of about £2k !

Again all chinese whispers though.

I've agreed to hold off for the next few months, either bargain deal on a pre facelift or review the new price hike/new face.

Was told July. XJ front end the only major difference.

Production of the current car is bound to end with the summer close down of Castle Bromwich. The restart will no doubt start the beginning of facelifted models. So Aug/Sept build with a Sept/Oct delivery to dealers.

The car as shown gets new front end/lights and new rear. I also expect it to get the XJ treatment in the interior. Having sat in an XJ back2back with an XF, the XF interior has dated qquickly. It is also widely expected the XK will have one final offering with new interior and front and rear too.

Jag have some awesome products coming, just hurry up will you! The XF estate is years behind when it was needed in the range.......the new 5 is gonna steal the show....

I was in both the other week, I wouldn't say the XF has aged I would say the XJ is just in another class, which it is, and is reflected in the price difference.

I'm intrigued to see of the facelifted xf will get the lcd dash ??? Doubt it though

I would agree that while the XJ is an amazing improvement, I don't think the XF dash has aged badly.

Its four years old now but when you look at the current XF against its competition rather than its more expensive ( and expansive ) sibling, I think it compares pretty well and still looks more attractive and special than the more recent alternatives from BMW, Merc, or Audi.

I just hope that when the facelift is done they replace the really annoying fuel filler flap... oh and the sat nav which aside from accepting postcodes is not a patch on my last BMW.

Accepting full postcodes is rather a useful feature IMHO. The BMW satnav is virtually useless for finding rural properties if you can only input the address which frequently does not include a street.

I'm going on a "12MY" training course in two weeks, ahead of any official announcements - so will see what I am allowed to say after that....

I am speculating that whatever is announced will be for July order call for August build and September delivery. (this would tie in with the target sets too ;-) )

Hoping on an estate finally too, but honestly dont know what they might spring on us. The XKR-S came completely out of the blue for instance.

Also expecting / hoping for details on the XE / F-Type after seeing a mule at Gaydon in November.

Looking forward to seeing whats coming!

At least this time hopefully, it won't be handed to Aston Martin.

It had better be a looker!! ie Nothing like a Nissan GTR or a Lexus LS430.

Is it just me or is the price of high quality steel bodied XK's steadying or even rising? There is an immaculate 4.0 XKR in the ads for which the seller is asking near on 20k. If so, it's because it's a fabulous looking car. So is the current XK, so is the XF. XJ...hmm, well...it's got presence particularly from the front, but I haven't totally got it yet.

To ask is one thing .... to get is another.

Selling my 05 XKR Con S LE keeps crossing my mind at the moment, but there seems to be a significant range in 'asking prices' for what appear to be similar cars. I find it difficult to determine the price.

I think as Jaguar styling changes, people will increasingly look back at old Jag and say what beautiful elegant cars.

I was surprised how well the Bertone concept was recieved, when in my opinion it was a hark back in many areas, or perhaps taking the old design elements forward.

I hope Jaguar doesnt go down the BMW / Audi where every car at first glance looks pretty much the same.

I have never ventured into this forum, but on Sunday I passed this exact car (complete with disguise).
it was parked up in stow-on-the-wold in the cotswolds.
with hindsight I should have stopped and snapped some pictures, as there was no-one around, and the road wasn't exactly busy!!

Without a shadow of doubt. The only thing militating against the value is that there are a lot out there. Then again, not all are the right colour/spec and in good order.

I was astounded. It's even got a leaper on the bonnet, like you would see down at the bowling club. Yes, it looked good, but it was a direct variation on Sir William Lyons XJ-C from the 70's. Everyone else from Ferrari to Fiat does retro and gets away with it, but not Jaguar?

I do worry where their sports cars will go next, particularly when I see the XK-RS, which contains a definite hint of a Nissan GT-R nose, and Callum hinting that the oval grille has gone 'as far as it can'. OK, if they must, but if it's brutally ugly, it won't sell. Plenty of people have forgotten that in the past.
