Hi all...

I've got 'something' installed in my 2009 Jaguar XF S... it's been there in the 3 years i've owned the car, and has never bothered me in the slightest.. that said, i'm trying to sell the car now, and someone was just quite 'bothered' by it, to the point that they walked away from it!

it has a few knobs - and is connected to a buzzer behind the dash, and a LED that sticks out of the console as well.. it doesnt do anything obvious, but if you fiddle with it a bit, it makes the buzzer go off and the red lights flash a few times..

bragging rights to the first person who can tell me what it is!!!

Looks home made. Is it fixed in or can you lift it out to look inside it?

it's quite firmly fixed in...i'd need to brute force/break it to remove, i think; as i can't work out it's fixed!

It looks like the sort of box / switch / pushbutton / LED you get from Maplin or any other parts place. Could be anything. It could just be a flashing light that pretends to be an alarm or immobiliser.
